Kings Estates began in the 1970s, founded by Graham King, a local surveyor with a vision to provide expert property advice and services. His commitment to excellence established our enduring reputation.
In 1985, Nicholas Heath joined and brought new energy to the firm. By 1992, he completed a management buyout, solidifying his leadership and driving the company’s growth.
In 2001, Nick’s daughter, Gemma, joined the business, marking the start of the next generation’s involvement. In 2005, we expanded with the acquisition of the Tunbridge Wells office, which has been successfully managed by Gemma and her brother Mike since 2011. Mike’s arrival that year brought fresh ideas and strengthened daily operations.
In 2015, Tom, Mike’s best friend, joined as Sales Director, contributing his extensive experience in the Tunbridge Wells property market.
By 2017, we rebranded as Kings Estates, reflecting our growth and continued dedication to trust, professionalism, and personalised service.

Introducing Mike, a highly accomplished professional and the Managing Director of our Lettings and Property Management department. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Mike's expertise and leadership have been instrumental in driving our company's success.
In his role, Mike assumes full responsibility for the Lettings and Property Management department, overseeing all operations with meticulous attention to detail. One of his primary strengths lies in cultivating new business opportunities and fostering strong relationships with clients. Moreover, Mike personally handles all aspects of rental accounting, ensuring seamless transactions and exceptional service for both tenants and landlords. Not only does he oversee the department with precision, but he also played a pivotal role in the creation of our new website, ensuring a seamless online experience for our clients.
Ventures Beyond the Desk
Outside of work, Mike loves his role as a family man. He is happily married to his wife, Emma, and together they are proud parents to their son, Hugo, who is 3.
During his downtime, Mike maintains a robust and healthy lifestyle. Whether unwinding at the gym, engaging in a round of golf, boxing, or training for marathons and new challenges, he seamlessly blends his passion for sports with the tranquility of nature. His commitment to success transcends professional boundaries, reflecting a determination and unwavering resolve that permeates all aspects of his life. Notably, Mike achieved an impressive feat in April 2023 by completing the renowned London Marathon, showcasing his dedication, discipline, and perseverance.

Meet Gemma
Gemma oversees the Residential Sales department and day-to-day running of the business. She boasts an impressive 23 years of estate agency expertise, tracing back to her initiation into the field at the age of 17 with Kings Estates.
Gemma exemplifies compassion and unwavering dedication, seamlessly immersing herself in every facet of a property transaction. Her commitment extends beyond the ordinary, as she consistently goes the extra mile for each client. Gemma recognises the inherently emotional and often daunting nature of house buying and selling. Therefore, she invests considerable time in building meaningful connections with her clients. By delving into the intricacies of their reasons and motivations for a move, she ensures a nuanced understanding that empowers her to provide tailored assistance in the most effective and supportive manner possible. She excels in providing practical and transparent advice, specialising in various areas such as probate/executor sales, and divorce/separation transactions, as well as guiding both first-time sellers and first-time buyers. Gemma's expertise also extends to offering expert counsel on buy-to-let investment and property enhancements and extensions.
Gemma is married to wife Kelly, an advanced clinical nurse and they have two vibrant teenage daughters and two cherished dogs. Nala, their miniature goldendoodle, not only graces the family with her presence but also brings a touch of joy and companionship to the office as a beloved regular.

Outside of the business, Gemma is a keen ambassador for women’s football. She's not just a player but a key player in steering the ship for the Kings Hill Queens Veterans Ladies team— one of the sports teams Kings Estates are proud to sponsor. Gemma's love for the game extends to the England Lionesses, and if you're ever at Wembley Stadium catching a Lioness match, you'll probably spot her in the crowd, bringing the noise and the good vibes.
